Reflection on Race
Reflections on Race.
When people ask you your race, most people would reply Mexican if they are from Mexico, Asian if they are from Asia, African if the are from Africa and so on. The truth is that race is a man made word used for describing people in general, like certain characteristics, such as the color of their skin, their hair, religion, language, eyes, lifestyle, etc. Ethnicity is the proper way of classifying people, such as Mexicans, Asians, or Africans, who have different DNA that separate them from on another. We all have different DNA, so that every ethnic group and evolve and learn to adapt.
Most people assume they are the same thing because there are many things about them that are similar, like the words and definitions. They are also taught at a young age that when you are asked what your race is you would reply Mexican. No one really questioned it or the origin of the word.
Today, most people still don’t know that there is a difference between both of them or where the word originated from

The beginning is strong and clear, but the second paragraph I lose what you are saying (i.e., the difference between them -- the terms or the people?)
Also, ethnicity is not able to be identified by DNA, either.
