My Perspective

My perspective of history or of the world hasn't really changed after reading "Native Son". Richard Wright used sterotypes in this book which only helped me to believe that an African American can do such crimes as kill an innocent person. If anything, Wright made me believe that they are really dangerous and don't deserve a chance. Although Bigger did kill the first time and that was an accident, the second time wasn't. Then once he commited the crime, he felt powerful, like he was flying, on the top of the world, and anyone who feels like that, isn't innocent. So in Wrights mind African Americans are just like any other race in America, which I already knew, so I didn't learn anything from this book I didn't already know.
