Journey Story-Edgar-Janet

Journey Story

The sky was clear and the weather was perfect. Everyone was excited, except for Janet. Janet was one of those people that worried about little things and never enjoyed her self wherever she went. She would say, “There is too much trouble and danger in the world today and each day that trouble and danger gets worse.” Her friends didn’t like her attitude towards things and sometimes didn’t invite her to places. Janet knew how her friends felt about her and she didn’t like it. She would cry in her room until she ran out of tears, which was almost never. Her biggest goal in life was to go out one day with her friends and enjoy herself without having to worry about anything. She felt nervous and anxiety as she headed to an amusement park with her friends.

When they arrived at the theme park, Janet’s fiends took one look at the roller coasters and saw fun and adventure, but Janet saw a place full of danger and germs. “I don’t think I can go through this you guys, I think I’ll just take a bus home, just go on without me.” Her friends knew that they couldn’t let her take a bus all the way home. As she walked towards the parking lot exit, Tom ran after her, picked her up and ran with her to the amusement park entrance. “Stop! Put me down!” exclaimed Janet. Before she knew it, she was already inside. She decided not to leave the amusement park because she didn’t want her admission ticket to go to waste. “Which ride should we get on first?” asked Tony. Everyone was full of excitement and couldn’t decide which ride to get on first. “I’ll stay here at the arcade, you guys go on and have fun.” said Janet. Without any thought, her friends left her by herself at the arcade. “We’ll meet back here when it’s time to leave Janet!” one of her friends yelled as he ran towards fun and adventure.

Janet had a lot of time to think about her life. As she was sitting in a bench, a woman and her daughter sat next to her and she heard the woman tell her daughter, “You better get your fears out of the way or you’ll never amount to anything. The whole world is full of obstacles and difficulties. You’re job as a human being is to work thorough those things and live a good life. If you don’t, those problems will always come back to haunt you. Imagine a world without worries, it would be plain and boring.” All of a sudden, Janet had an epiphany. The woman’s words made an impact on her way of thinking. She got up and headed to The Abolisher, The tallest ride in the park.
